I'm going to trust my hair to a buncha people on the interwebs. Yay me.

I LOVE my red hair, but having to dye it once a month is killing my hair. It keeps falling out and it's getting pretty old so I need a new color. I'm thinking about going back to blac but it took SO effING LONG to get it to hold the red I'm not sure if I want to go back yet. So give me suggestions. Noooow. Please.

If it's been falling out then you need to let it recuperate and not dye it at all for a while. Are you doing a Splat type of dye or more like Nice and Easy? My friend is a stylist and when she sees damage and hair falling out, she tells them to not do a thing to it for a few months other than get a good leave in conditioner.

I have SUPER thick hair so it's not making too much of a difference, it's just annoying. I get my stink pickle from the beauty supply place. It's the stuff they use professionally. It's fading to an ugly donkey orange color so I want to do one more to get it to one color that'll last. I'll probably end up going back to black and then crying myself to sleep with regret.
